i hate the taxi drivers in lima!
yes, how can i not hate them?? i knew i have to be carefull for thieves in lima, but the travel guide should tell the readers that, taxi drivers can be the thieves, too. Coz i don´t speak Spanish, taxi drivers drove me to somewhere but not my destination and drop me down, i paid even triple or 5 X of the fare, i hate them!
back to the Conference, yeah, i did the presentation yesterday morning, the classroom was full of people, maybe 30-40...in compare with some keynote speakers, they use the Great Hall for presentation, may only got 50-60 or lesser. anyway, some people give me some great ideas. A lady from French told me that, she felt very difficult to talk with the lesbian group about domestic violence in her country, coz violence should be on men, not women, the group would like to promote ´healthy´life, instead of violence(!). A butch uncle from US suggested i should study more on butch-femme (or 0/1 in gay)relationship on domestic violence.
There was a welcome party for all participants last evening at Bolivar hotel, the first 5 star hotel in the city. I followed the tour, so many historical buildings, spanish, french.....style, not no Inca style, no Peruvian style, here is Lima, the colonial capital set up by Spanish!
I try Peruvian cuisine and Pisco Sour during the party, haha, nice foods and drinks. can´t sleep in this morning....so get up earlier and write something...
